RAVERTONE is a sound pack for Elektron's Digitone groovebox/synthesizer.

The audio files here are demos created with the sounds in the pack. All demo songs were performed on a single machine in real time with no overdubbing or post editing. They were recorded into a Boss MicroBR portable 4 track with it's onboard EQ, effects and compressor.

The sound pack contains 114 sounds:

21 kicks
23 snares
16 hats/cymbols
13 hits/stabs
23 basses
6 leads
5 misc percussion
4 fx/synthesized vocals

Also included are several demo patterns, most of which can be heard in 'RaverTone Mixtape'.

Included in the purchase is a 32-page user manual that includes installation instructions, information about each sound and tricks on getting the most out of the sound pack in your productions.

If you like drum and bass, hip hop or other breaks-heavy styles and own a Digitone, this collection will kickstart your breakbeats and the best part is you don't have to clear any samples because it's all synthesized. And because it's synthesized, these sounds can be altered in ways samples simply cannot. Use these sounds all in box like the audio demos presented or use the Digitone to synthesize loops and drum kits to feed your sampler. It's up to you in how the rave happens.

I like Mindmelt for the classical references to first wave IDM and Acuate Distress for the polyrithms extravaganza and cavernous soundscapes in the background. But this is a masterpiece in its own merit. This isn't just a masterclass in what you can achieve with a Digitone; this drives you outside of your comfort zone like a car crash on a rainy night, but its also a wonderful example of what non mainstream electronics can achieve in terms of power of sounds.
